The family joke was that her mother didn't believe in relaxing after high school graduation, her motto was work or school. She always said at graduation it was really Mom's diploma. Kathy served her country in the United States Army as a Specialist Four until her honorable discharged in May 1977. Kathy was known for her creativity, was a fine artist and sculptor. She also had a great passion for animals. When she moved to Arizona it gave her the opportunity to have her dogs, Duke (her German Shepherd), Duchess (her Doberman) and Max (her Weinaraner). Kathy was an avid sports fan and loved the Chicago teams until she moved to Arizona. She then became a dedicated Cardinal and Suns fan, still remaining a die hard Cubs fan. She had just started taking a serious interest in the Phoenix Coyotes. Kathy loved to cook, was great at it and loved making many of her special dishes that she was so generous in sharing with others. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.
