After 47 years, I realized my dream of living in sunny California. Recently moved to Mission Viejo in southern CA. (Have always loves palm trees!) I am definitely preferring the weather, but really do miss Chicago!

School Story:

For those of you who knew dad, Jim Hurd, who taught Algebra and Geometry in room 407, he twice found bats in his classroom. Not knowing how to get rid of them, he captured them (2 separate occasions) and delivered them to the science teacher .... for a science experiment? I don't know. ;)
